The AOA created an Organizational Alliance to
collaborate with other organizations in the shared mission/goal of
increasing awareness and improving the care of patients with
osteoporosis and related fractures.
The Organizational Alliance is created out of a
desire to recognize those contributions and joint efforts, and to
forge cooperation around the objectives of the Own the Bone program
wherever possible to improve the quality of life for patients who
have suffered fractures. The AOA recognizes the critical need
for involvement from a number of specialties and providers in
resolving the osteoporosis treatment gap and values the substantial
contributions of other providers and specialty organizations to the
program.
