Traveling Fellowships

AOA's Traveling Fellowships recognize young leaders for their early contributions to orthopaedics, identifying and promoting their leadership skills to the broader orthopaedic community.

Tours are structured to:

  • recognize young leaders for their early contributions to orthopaedics
  • develop the fellow's leadership skills and networks
  • provide interactions and experiences with the world's orthopaedic leaders and previous AOA fellows
  • prepare fellows for the greater challenges of leading and improving the specialty
  • confront critical issues impacting the specialty.

Traveling Fellowship alumni:

  • have access to AOA's membership, who share a similar interest in leadership
  • share experiences and knowledge as they grow their careers and contribute to the specialty of orthopaedics
  • are invited to a reception for AOA Traveling Fellowship alumni/Emerging Leaders during the AAOS Annual Meeting
  • are invited to a reception for AOA Traveling Fellowship alumni at AOA Annual Meetings
