Nonprofit Opportunities
AOA also welcomes involvement from Not-for-Profit organizations as supporters. Not-for-Profit organizations wishing to participate as a member of the Educational Alliance must commit to a significant educational or communication initiative/outreach tied to Own the Bone’s central mission of identifying, evaluating and treating patients with osteoporotic-related fragility fractures.
Ways for Not-for-Profit Organizations to Support Own the Bone
AOA has developed Own the Bone as a leadership initiative and is aware that the program will reach its maximum success through the involvement of other organizations. The AOA seeks active involvement from other organizations in support of Own the Bone. Not-for-profit organizations can participate in Own the Bone in a variety of ways other than through the Educational Alliance, including, but not limited to:
- Distributing Own the Bone information to its membership
- Encouraging members to implement Own the Bone at their institutions
- Providing educational and informational materials at annual, local or chapter meetings
- Providing free or reduced-cost exhibit space at meetings where Own the Bone can be demonstrated
- Including Own the Bone articles or advertisements in organization’s publication(s)
