Own the Bone is a program of the American Orthopaedic Association (AOA) supported in part through the Own the Bone Educational Alliance. The Own the Bone Educational Alliance was established to raise awareness of the treatment gap and to simplify the identification, evaluation, and treatment of osteoporosis in patients after a fragility fracture in order to prevent future fractures.

The Own the Bone Educational Alliance allows for and recognizes organizations which desire to make a significant impact to physician and patient education in conjunction with Own the Bone. This impact can be made in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, financial and educational support for Own the Bone and significant educational initiatives conducted in concert with the Own the Bone program.

The Own the Bone Educational Alliance:

  • Is non-commercial and exists to conduct and produce general (not product specific) educational activities
  • Does not endorse any products, treatments, companies, or organizations
  • Educational Alliance members must sign an agreement with the American Orthopaedic Association defining parameters of the Educational Alliance and members must provide a multi-year commitment

Please contact the AOA for additional information on becoming a member of Own the Bone Educational Alliance.
